Pre- Historic Period
• Palaeolithic Period In this period,man barely managed to gather his food and lived on hunting.Paleolithic period is divided into three phases.
They are-
1. Lower Palaeolithic
2. Middle Palaeolithic
3.Upper Palaeolithic
• Mesolithic Period Domestication of animals ( dogs) began and characteristic tools used were called microliths.
• Neolithic Period Neolithic people knew about making fire. An important site of this age is Burzahom, which means 'the place of birch'.
• Chalcolithic Period Use of copper and stone made tools .According to radiocarbon dating,Indus Valley Civilization spread from the year 2500 - 1750 BC.
• Town Planning Systematic town planning was based on grid system; burnt bricks made houses; well managed drainage system; fortified citadel; highly urbanized; absence of iron implements.The towns were divided into 2 parts; Upper Part or Citadel and Lower Part. 
 • Boundaries North-Manda (J&K); South Daimabad ( Maharashtra); East-Alamgirpur; West-Sutkagendor.

         Means of Communication When we send or receive a message, it is called communication . Communication helps us to share our ideas, views, information and knowledge with each other. It is the human nature of interaction. In ancient time, people had simple means of communication, like, beating drums, lighting fire, etc. They used to send messages through messangers. It took long time to reach a message from one place to another. People have also used trained pigeons to carry messages of communication, whichare so quick that within seconds we can receive or send messages.We can communicate by writing letters, senading telegrams or by speaking on the telephone, mobile phone or through e-mails or fax.
